ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Australia vs England

Today, on 22nd Feb, in another match of the Championship Trophy 2025, Australia defeated England by 5 wickets at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. England had put up a huge score of 351 runs for 8 wickets in 50 overs. Whereas, Australia chased down the 352-run target in 47.3 overs only and defeated England by 5 wickets. The credit goes to Josh Inglis, who had scored unbeaten 120, not out off 86 balls. 

Josh Inglis became the first Australian wicketkeeper to score a century in the ICC Champions Trophy. He scored his hundred in 77 deliveries. He is the third Australian batsman after Shane Watson and Ricky Ponting who scored a century in the tournament. 

Australia started weak by losing 3 wickets for a score total of 122. At that point, Inglis came in and hit down all bowlers of his opponent team and stitched a superb 146-run partnership in just 116 balls for the fourth wicket. In the first phase, Ben Duckett of England hit a superb 165 that helped England put a score of 351 on the board.
